Some Love Haikus (poems)

He is sitting there
Next to the beautiful girl
They are amazing

Her long hair glistens
Her smile widens at me
Sealing our future

This next one is about spending time while traveling on the highway:
The exits pass by
Now closer to her smile
I just cannot wait

This is about an unforgettable girl on your mind:
Impressions of you
Engross me at every turn
When will you be mine?

What makes a haiku a haiku

A haiku:

Is made of three lines
Is Japanese tradition
Is a lot of fun

Now, if you examine the above text. It is a haiku!

the Japanese typically wrote about nature in haikus. Such as:

The sun rises high
It brings light and heat--so nice
It will never die

But you can write about anything you want:

I could not see well
Then I got glasses, all's clear
But now I'm a geek

If you write Haikus, keep them saved somewhere. In the future, you can look back at them. You will either smile or laugh because of what you wrote and the good memory of your art or you will wonder "what in the world was I writing about?"

Best of luck to you!

What Haikus are about

A Haiku is a Japanese poem that is 3 lines long and doesn't Rhyme. The first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, the third line has 7 syllables.

The whole point of a Haiku is to communicate a lot with a little bit of words. Many times it deals with nature or things that have a lot of meaning to it.

Example:
Some say fate is all
If so, then why should I try?
Instead I will soar

One can "examine" Haikus and try to find a meaning. That is part of the fun of it.

I will write Haikus here for people to be able to view them
